Moving forward: Cincinatti Bengals

The Cininnati Bengals are one of only four teams to make the playoffs each of the last four seasons (others being NE, DEN, & GB). Surprising, right? I mean we rarely hear them talked about, & yet, here they are again, on the path to the playoffs again, this time, better than ever.

At 6-0, the Bengals stand on top of the AFC, &, if they manage to stay there, they might earn their first playoff bye since 1988. They’re doing it pretty easily, too. Check it out:

Points per game: 30.3 (3rd overall)

Points allowed: 20.3 (12th overall)

An average margin of victory of 10.0 (going into this Sunday) is that of an elite team. For example, take Green Bay, an elite team who many consider to be Super Bowl favorites, lead Cincy in that same category by only .5 (10.5).

Looking for an excuse to take credit from this team? Well, it surely isn’t strength of schedule. Check it out:

These Bengals are serious. They play hard defense, the offense has worked on all cylinders, all season long, & guided by one of the most underrated coaches in football, Marvin Lewis, this team is poised to make some serious noise.
