Survivor Series is coming up and it’s time for predictions. Who walks out of the event with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship? Will Tyler Breeze get the win in his first pay per view match? Who will be the 10 participants in the traditional Survivor Series match? Can Paige win the Divas Championship for the third time in her career? Will Undertaker and Kane or Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman be victorious as they clash at the event Undertaker debuted at 25 years ago?
There are seven matches on the card and we know the participants in five of them. So first, we’ll take a look at the matches that are already booked with the participants, and in the final two, we will also predict who the participants are.
As of right now, there is no kickoff match. Why not put a 4 on 4 Elimination Match on the kickoff to give 8 superstars some action at Survivor Series?
4 on 4 Elimination Match
The first thing we need to do is set up the teams, but to do that we need to take a look at what’s going on in the WWE. The New Day are currently not on the card. Mr. Money in the Bank, Sheamus, is currently not on the card. The Usos, Lucha Dragons, Cesaro, Neville, King Barrett, The Dudleys, Stardust, and Ryback are currently not on the card. All of these guys deserve to be on the main card, and we’ll take a look at the 5 on 5 match later on.
Team Cesaro: Cesaro, Neville and The Dudleys
Team Stardust: Stardust, The Ascension, The Miz
These teams make sense. Cesaro and Stardust have been teasing something for a while now. Neville and The Dudleys just had a match on Smackdown. The Miz and Cesaro also had a match on Smackdown. Let’s throw these guys in on the pre show and give them a chance to showcase their skills and put on a great match for the fans. Let’s just run quickly through the eliminations.
Neville eliminates Miz
Stardust eliminates Neville after distraction by Miz
Konnor eliminates Devon
Viktor eliminates Bubba Ray
Cesaro eliminates Konnor and Viktor
Stardust eliminates Cesaro.
Paige vs Charlotte for the Divas Championship
This feels like a feud that’s going to continue for at least one or two more pay per views. We’ve also just come off the longest reign ever with the belt, so it feels like it’s time for something different. The fans might not be ready for another lengthy run with the title. Charlotte isn’t get quite the reaction the champion should be getting. Paige is getting boos. She’s playing the heel part perfectly. It’s time for Paige to take the belt back. However, it won’t be a “clean” victory. Look for some sort of trash talking on Paige’s part to get the victory. Paige can bring up Charlotte’s brother once again. Charlotte goes ballistic and starts attacking Paige in the corner. When she doesn’t stop, the referee has to get in between the two allowing Paige to hit Charlotte with kick and regain control. Then Paige locks in her submission hold and gets the victory. This allows the feud to continue, and Charlotte can win the title back at the next pay per view, giving her not only the satisfaction of winning the title, but finally putting an end to Paige’s trash talking.
Winner and new Divas Champion: Paige
Tyler Breeze vs Dolph Ziggler
This feels like another feud that isn’t going to end after one match. This is definitely going to continue after this match. The fans aren’t really buying into Tyler Breeze at the moment. He’s shown in his first couple matches that he can be aggressive. Breeze had an excellent showing against Dean Ambrose in the first round of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament. Ziggler is always over with the fans, but they have probably come to the realization that he isn’t going to get that main event push. With that being said, Ziggler is one of the best sellers in the business today, and he can really help put Breeze over. To do that, Breeze needs to show his aggressive side a lot in this match. In the closing minutes of the match, the action spills to the outside. Ziggler goes for a clothesline, but Breeze ducks and throws Ziggler into the barricade, then throws him against the ring post. And he continues doing this for at least five times each. Breeze gets back into the ring, and the referee counts Ziggler out just as Ziggler gets his hands on the bottom rope. After the match, Breeze goes back to the outside to continue the assault until more referees and officials have to run down to get him off. This allows this feud to continue also with Ziggler looking for revenge.
Winner by countout: Tyler Breeze
Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman vs The Brothers of Destruction
This doesn’t feel like a passing of the torch match, but in many ways it is. The popular decision is for Kane and Undertaker to get the victory, but do they really need the win. Undertaker has been in the WWE for 25 years now, and that’s the major headline going into the event. But on Raw and Smackdown, Kane and Undertaker have been getting the upper hand. Booking 101 says that means that Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman are going over. To do that, Braun Strowman needs to take out Kane. While those two are fighting on the outside, Bray Wyatt and Undertaker are fighting in the middle of the ring. Bray Wyatt needs the clean victory. He needs to build up his credibility. He’s lost every feud he’s been in for quite a while now. Wyatt needs to hit Undertaker with Sister Abigail in the middle of the ring and get the pinfall victory. That’s the only way this match should end. This doesn’t mean that Undertaker is retiring. This means that the feud continues with Bray Wyatt having a pinfall victory over Undertaker and Undertaker having a pinfall victory over Bray Wyatt. (But the rubber match does not happen at Wrestlemania)
Winners by pinfall: Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Semi Final: Dean Ambrose vs Kevin Owens
Most people expect Dean Ambrose to go over here and make the finals. And he should. Kevin Owens is the Intercontinental Champion and he doesn’t need to make the finals. It’s still a bit too early for him to be battling for the championship, but his presence in this tournament, and the fact that he’s one of the final four participants elevates the Intercontinental Championship. The winner of this match is obvious, but that doesn’t mean that Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose can’t have the best match of the night. These two recently had a great match on Smackdown and showed that they work well together. The match is going to be great and after 15 minutes of action, Dean Ambrose is going to win with a rollup. Dean Ambrose gets the victory, but Owens looks strong as it took a rollup to defeat him.
Winner: Dean Ambrose
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Semi Final: Roman Reigns vs Alberto Del Rio
Another match that’s easy to predict. Roman Reigns is going to get the victory here, but we’re provided with a fresh matchup. And much like the Intercontinental Title is being elevated by Owens being one of the final four participants, the United States Championship is receiving the exact same with Del Rio being one of the final four participants. Another match that has the potential to be great, Del Rio is going to bring the fight to Roman Reigns, even locking in the Cross Arm Breaker and doing some damage to the arm that will carry over to the finals. But after all is said and done, Roman Reigns is hitting a Superman punch, a spear, and getting the pinfall victory.
Winner: Roman Reigns
Traditional 5 on 5 Elimination Match
Team New Day: Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, Big E, Sheamus, King Barrett
This team makes sense. The New Day is one of the best acts going in the WWE today, Sheamus is Mr. Money in the Bank, and King Barrett has been aligning himself with Sheamus recently, and that partnership needs to continue.
Team Ryback: Ryback, The Usos, Lucha Dragons
Ryback has had his problems with New Day recently, facing them on Monday Night Raw and making the save on Smackdown when they were attacking the Lucha Dragons after Big E defeated Kalisto. Ryback’s partners on Monday Night Raw? The Usos. So this team also makes sense.
There’s many ways to go about this match. But there’s one that makes sense. Ryback might be team captain, but that doesn’t mean he can’t be the first one eliminated on his team. To do that, he and King Barrett are fighting on the outside when Barrett hits him with a chair out of frustration. But always thinking, Barrett hits him one more time, before sending Ryback back into the ring where Sheamus is waiting with a Brogue kick, allowing him to get the pin and eliminate Ryback.
King Barrett and Ryback are eliminated
The next elimination should be two members of The New Day. Those two are going to be Kofi Kingston and Big E. Kalisto can eliminate Kofi Kingston, while one of the Usos can eliminate Big E.
Kofi Kingston and Big E are eliminated
Now we are down to The Usos and Lucha Dragons vs Sheamus and Xavier Woods. Xavier Woods has been overlooked as a performer. He’s a great talker, but he needs to get some credibility. To do that, he needs to eliminate two opponents. Those two can be Sin Cara and one of the Usos. Let’s say Jey. This gives Xavier Woods something to brag about.
Sin Cara and Jey Uso are eliminated
Now we’re down to Xavier Woods and Sheamus vs Kalisto and Jimmy Uso. While Xavier Woods is busy celebrating that he just eliminated his second opponent, Jimmy Uso comes in and hits Woods with a super kick, then comes off the top rope with a splash to eliminate Xavier Woods.
Xavier Woods is eliminated
Sheamus vs Kalisto & Jimmy Uso. Sheamus comes in the ring and starts attacking Jimmy Uso. He’s on the attack for a while before Jimmy Uso mounts a comeback. But just as Jimmy Uso is getting on a roll, Sheamus takes back the momentum, hits him with a Brogue Kick and gets the pin.
Jimmy Uso is eliminated
So now we’re down to a 1 on 1 match with Sheamus vs Kalisto, and we’re about 25 minutes into the match. The rest of this match should go 10 minutes. This gives Kalisto his time to show what he can do in the ring, and we all know that Sheamus works well with smaller opponents, so the two are going to work very well together. Kalisto has Sheamus down several times, but Sheamus keeps kicking out. And just when you think Kalisto is going to put Sheamus away, he turns the tables. Sheamus now has the momentum. He hits Kalisto with White Noise. Kalisto kicks out. Shemus hits Kalisto with the Irish Curse Back Breaker. Kalisto kicks out. Finally he hits Kalisto with a Brogue Kick and Kalisto can’t kick out.
Sheamus looks really strong as Mr. Money in the Bank. Kalisto comes out strong with a good showing against the guy who could be WWE World Heavyweight Champion in the near future.
Winner and sole survivor: Sheamus
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Final: Dean Ambrose vs Roman Reigns
Many people are expecting a heel turn in this match, but that’s not necessary. Roman Reigns has been so close to winning the championship, so has Dean Ambrose. Their first reign shouldn’t begin by some sort of cheating or dirty tactics. This is going to be a good hard fought victory for either man. Which guy should that be? That guy should be Roman Reigns. A hard fought 25 minute match should end with Roman Reigns hitting a spear out of nowhere and getting the pin on Dean Ambrose. But that doesn’t mean that a heel doesn’t walk out of Survior Series with the title.
After the match, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon come down to the ring to congratulate Roman Reigns. But Roman Reigns refuses to shake their hands. Stephanie McMahon gets mad, and slaps Roman Reigns. After the slap, Triple H hits Roman Reigns with a Pedigree. All of a sudden, we hear Sheamus’ music, and he runs to the ring with a referee. HHH stops the referee and says he’s going to do this himself. He takes the briefcase from Sheamus and tells the timekeeper to ring the bell. At this point Roman Reigns has just gotten to his feet, only to get hit by a Brogue Kick. Sheamus covers Reigns. Triple H counts the 1, 2, 3 and Sheamus is the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The show ends with HHH and Stephanie raising the arms of Sheamus.
Winner and new WWE World Heavyweight Champion: Sheamus
